How do I edit my profile settings?
To edit your profile settings, you can go to “About Me” and find “Edit Profile”. You will be able to make any changes to your profile at any time. Every time you make a change, please remember to click “Save change” to update your profile settings.
How do I change my password if I don’t remember my old password?
You will need to know your previous password in order to make a change. Just click on “Forgot my password” button at the sign in page. The system will send you an e-mail with a temporary password to log-in. You can change to a new password after you sign in again.
Can I edit the layout of my profile?
No. The only way you can edit the layout is to hide some of the information by clicking on the Tool bar window displayed on your profile.
I’ve made changes to my profile, but it didn’t update.
The system requires you to hit “Save change” every time you make changes to your profile. Please make sure you don’t forget to save before going to a different page. If you are still experiencing problems, please click here to contact us.
Can I enter more than 1 high school/college/work?
Yes, you can enter more than 1 high school/college/work by using a comma to separate each.
What is “Interest”?
When you enter the interests, the system will automatically match you with people who have the same interests. It will increase the chances for you to find more people to swap with.
Do I have to enter my personal information? (phone number and address)
No. You do not have to enter your personal information except for your CITY and ZIPCODE. You may use the privacy setting to control who sees your personal information.
Why can’t I change my address?
You are only allowed to make changes to your address every 2 months. As a service provider, Cooffer is trying our best to prevent any illegal activities. We apologize for the inconvenience.
How do I change/remove my profile photo?
You can upload up to 7 photos as your profile photos. Select the photo, and then click “Choose” to change your profile photo. To remove a photo from your profile storage, just select and then click “Remove photo”.

You can upload up to 7 profile photos. If you’ve uploaded more than 7 photos, the system will automatically replace the oldest photo with the new photo you uploaded.

The thumbnail function is designed to crop the photo into a square. The red box indicates how the photo will be displayed. You may also resize the red box by holding on the SHIFT key, and drag from bottom-right hand corner to upper-left corner
What is “Delivery preference”?
A delivery preference setting is designed to tell other members what delivery method to use when they want to swap. It will provide brief information about where and how you prefer to swap.
Why do I need to enter the “favorite public location”?
The purpose of entering the “favorite location” is to provide other Cooffer members to get an idea of where you prefer to meet and swap for goods. We feel it is very important that you choose your own favorite public location where you’d feel SAFE and COMFORTABLE to swap with other members. It is a very important setting that we’d encourage every member to use.
Why do I have to enter specific address for favorite public location?
To enter specific address will allow other member to quickly see if the location is within his/her neighborhood. We would also like to have you help us creating a date base of “Most Popular Preferred Public Locations” for swapping for future use.
How to use the privacy setting?
Cooffer provides customized privacy settings for each member. You may have total control over who can view your information on profiles, swap items and collections. Each area provides 6 degrees of privacy setting.
The 6 degrees are:
- Anyone – All Cooffer members and non-members will have access to your information
- All members – Only registered Cooffer members will have access to your information
- Your Coofferhood– Only members from your neighborhood, childhood, and cityhood will have access to your information
- Your Groups, friends – Only members from your friend list and group will have access to your information
- Only Friends – Only members from your friend list will have access to your information
- Only you – Only you will have access to your information
