What is comments/rating system for?

Each time a market transaction is complete, you will be asked to rate the member that swapped items with you. The rating system is very important to your protection and evaluation. The system is designed to help Cooffer members to gain and build creditability, and make all swapping experiences more secure.

You will be asked to rate the transaction based on the quality of the items, delivery speed, and overall satisfaction of the transaction. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to leave a short written comment about the transaction for other members to review and use as reference.

How do I give a comment/feedback to other members?

To give a comment to a member, you must complete a market transaction. You will only find the feedback system when a market has been marked “Completed”. Go to “Market”-“Status”- “History” to click on the completed market. You will see details about the market and you will find “feedback” at the lower-right hand corner of the market detail window.

Can I make changes on the comment/feedback?

No, once a feedback is sent, you are not allowed to make any changes to it. It is very important that you leave feedback to the member AFTER the transaction is completed. Do not rate the member if you still haven’t received the items. If you do not receive the item, or cannot contact the member, use the “Report” system. Click here to see more about “Report”.

Can I remove the comments from my history?

No, once a comment is received, you are not allowed to make any changes to it. All comments will be recorded for all members to use as an evaluation system. You are responsible for making sure the items get delivered and are in the condition as described to prevent any disputes and negative points/comments.

What is “Bad Apple”?

A “Bad Apple” is a bad record of an unsuccessful transaction. When disputes arise between two members, we encourage members to improve communication before leaving negative feedbacks. The purpose of the “Bad Apple” is to warn members to complete their transactions on time and deliver the items in a good manner. The member’s account will be blocked, when he/she has been reported by five different members regarding to unsuccessful transactions.

How do I report an incomplete market transaction?

If a market has been accepted and the other member does not complete the market transaction, you may choose to report the member as a “Bad Apple” in the “Accepted Market”. It will result in a record of “Bad apple” displaying on his/her profile. In order to maintain the orders of a fair trading environment, Cooffer has set up this reporting system which empowers the members to “report/cancel report”. This system is designed to provide an opportunity for members to improve their creditability through communication and reformation. When a violation has been reported, the system will issue a warning letter to the member and ask for improvement. The member’s account will be blocked, when he/she has been reported by five different members regarding unsuccessful transactions.
